The concept of a compact grader was born out of necessity in the U.S.A where a contracting business was unable to source a compact grader for work in confined areas across a range of commercial and public works applications. Encouraged by demand from othercontractors they designed and built a prototype in 1980. Its success and continuing development transformed the contracting business into a dynamic engineering and manufacturing operation with ISO 9000:2000 quality certification and the CHAMPION® motor grader has remained the number one grader in its class in the competitive U.S market.
